Privacy and your information
What this website collects when you use it, what happens to an enquiry you send us, and who to speak to if you have a question about your information.

Who this page is about
This page covers medipharm.com.au, the website of MediPharm Medical Practice at Hoxton Park Central in Prestons, NSW. It describes how the website itself behaves. If you want to talk to someone about your information, the practice details are in the panel on this page.
Hoxton Park Central also houses other businesses, including Star Light Dental, One Stop Physio and Hoxton Park Chemist. They run their own services and handle their own patient information.
When you send us an enquiry
Several pages on this website carry an enquiry form. The form on the Contact page asks for your first name, email address, phone number, a subject and a message. Forms on other pages ask for a similar set of details.
When you send one, three things happen:
- The message is emailed to the practice.
- A copy is saved in this website’s own database, so an enquiry is not lost if an email fails to arrive. The record holds the details you typed, the page you sent it from and the network address your browser connected from.
- A copy is sent to the client portal run by Evosion, the agency that builds and maintains this website, so enquiries can be tracked and followed up.
Please do not put sensitive medical details in a website form. An enquiry form is not a secure clinical channel and it is not monitored around the clock. For anything private or urgent, phone the practice on (02) 8784 3888. In an emergency, call 000.
Booking an appointment
Every Book Online button on this website opens HealthEngine, a separate booking service. Your booking is made on HealthEngine’s own website, not here, and the details you enter there are handled by HealthEngine under its own privacy terms. You can also book by phoning the practice.
Your medical records
This website does not hold, display or give access to clinical records. Nothing you can log into here shows your history, results, prescriptions or referrals. To ask about your own records, speak to the practice directly.
Measurement and advertising
This website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors move through the pages, which pages are read and which are not. It is loaded through Google Tag Manager.
The website also runs Google Ads conversion tracking, so that when someone arrives from a Google advertisement and then makes an enquiry, that can be counted. A small amount of information about how you arrived, such as the page you landed on and the website that sent you, is recorded in your browser so the enquiry can be matched to its source.
There is no Facebook or Instagram tracking pixel on this website, and no session recording or heat-mapping tool.
Google Maps appears in the footer of every page and on the Contact page. The map is loaded from Google, so Google receives a request from your browser when it appears.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. On this website they fall into four groups:
- Analytics. Set by Google Analytics in your browser, under this website’s own address, so repeat visits can be counted as one visitor rather than several. These last about two years.
- Advertising. Set by Google Ads so an enquiry can be linked back to an advertisement. These last about 90 days.
- How you arrived. Set by this website to remember the page you landed on and the website that referred you. These last about a week.
- Technical. A short-lived cookie that lasts only as long as your browsing session and is used to make some pages work.
When you first arrive, a notice asks whether you want to accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies. Until you answer it, analytics and advertising cookies are not set at all: only the technical cookie and the ones recording how you arrived. If you choose Reject they stay off, and your choice is remembered so you are not asked again on every page.
Every browser also lets you block or delete cookies, usually under its privacy or site settings, and doing so will not stop you reading this website or booking an appointment by phone.
Asking about your information
If you want to know what the practice holds about you, ask for a correction, or raise a concern about how your information has been handled, contact the practice on (02) 8784 3888 or through the Contact page, and ask to speak to the practice manager.
The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner is the national body for privacy complaints. It can be reached on 1300 363 992 or at oaic.gov.au.
Keeping this page accurate
This page describes what the website actually does, checked on the date shown at the top. Websites change, so if you notice something here that no longer matches what you see, please tell us through the Contact page and we will look at it.
